Respected
Madam,
Sub: Rotational transfer orders
issued in mass at Chennai Foreign post
during October 2012 in violation of standing
RT guidelines and against
Directorate orders – Request for
kind intervention for cancellation –
Reg.
Ref:
No.STA/15-2/2012 dt. 09.10.2012 of
Director , Foreign Post, Chennai.
…..
The Director,
Foreign Post, Chennai has issued
mass Rotational transfer orders to
18 officials from Main Office, Foreign post , Chennai – 1 to Air
Complex, Foreign Post , Chennai – 27 on
09.10.2012, citing the reason that they have completed office tenure, vide the reference cited.
He
has also called willingness for
transfer, from another set of 14 officials, both working at
Chennai 27 and Chennai-1 , stating
the reason that, they are completing
tenure/just completing one tenure and
this exercise should be completed before 15.10.2012.
In
this connection, our Union points out
that as per the standing orders
on this subject and RT guidelines
issued from time to time by the
Directorate and as per DG’s no. 69/4/79-
SPB – I dt. 12.11.81, rotational
transfers or mass transfers , citing
completion of tenures, may be issued and effected in advance of the
commencement of the academic year and
the crucial date for completion of this exercise, however be
made, before 30th
September.
Hence,
issuance of such orders is against RT
guidelines and orders of Dte., will hamper the interest of the officials and affects
their family life, affects the education of their children etc. and they
could not able shift
their family in the middle of the
academic year, resultantly this would affect their services , going on long leaves etc. etc.
Taking
into account all these things, we request
the Chief PMG, TN to kindly intervene in this matter
immediately , so as to cancel the orders and to save
the interest of the
officials concerned. Rotational
transfers , if anything to be made, may
kindly be taken up during the course of
April of next year.
Your kind
favourable action and a line in
reply is much requested.
With
regards,
(J.
RAMAMURTHY)
CIRCLE
SECRETARY.
