To
Dr. Charles Lobo, IPoS.,
The Chief Postmaster General,
Tamilnadu Circle,
Chennai 600 002.
Respected Sir,
Sub:
Coercive methods adopted for 100% purchase of Certificates by all the Staff in
many
Divisions
unmindfully – Request to rein the situation – Reg.
…..
The Chief PMG, TN is well
aware the worst situation, the staff facing forever in dealing with the public
transactions across the Savings Bank counters/acceptance of Insurance
premiums/products, because of the utter failure to manage the situation by the Infosys in Finacle and Mc Casmish.
Many leading Print medias
criticizing the functioning of the Savings Bank counters and expressing the
sufferings of common public for the past 20 days. Even, the already collected
money could not be accounted till date by means of opening of new accounts and
certificates and the Department has already
instructed to avoid any creation of new CIF for opening of accounts and
for fresh certificates. Without knowing all these things, some of the grounds
level officers are acting against the staff and harassing them to purchase
certificates compulsorily in their name, without fail.
Though, the CPMG, TN has
requested all the staff, in the interest of the Department, to purchase
certificates for Tax relief, it is totally misencashed by many Sub Ordinate authorities, by
pressurizing and threatening the officials to face dire consequences, if
not they purchase the certificates in their names, even if they are not readily
having any cash on their pockets.
This is atrocious and
further inducing the officials to make transactions without money, leading to further
misappropriations. These things
instantly happened in Thanjavur Division in Central Region and Dindigul
Division in Southern Region. Even the officials are threatened, over pin prick
frequent phone calls followed by threatening emails, calling the names of the individual
officials who have not purchased the certificates in their own names. This is
nothing but sucking our own blood for soothing the thirst.
Hence we request the kind,
immediate, personal intervention of the CPMG, TN in this matter, so as to rein the
situation and to taken suitable action against such officers concerned, so as save the Department from further damages on such fake businesses.
With profound regards,
( J. RAMAMURTHY)
CIRLE SECRETARY.
