Interview with PMG, CCR on 03.04.2012

Com. J. Ramamurthy, Circle Secretary and Com. N. Gopalakrishnan, All India working President were met  the  PMG, CCR ON 03.04.2012 and discussed the matters  contained in the  letter dt. 03.04.2012.

The details of the discussions are :-

1. Closure of POs in Chennai City North Dn.
PMG, CCR replied that two POs were not actually closed and they were relocated at Sathyabama
University and  Nerkundram  . They were opened now and functioning. In case of Korukkupettai,
due to  building problem and  Court orders  it has to be temporarily merged. If  any suitable
alternate  building  is secured,   it would be   re-opened as in the case of  PS Koil  PO and as
retained in case of Teynampet west PO. Similar is the case of Kosapet. But  we are not agreeing  to
his   reply. We strongly  condemned the attitude and  we insisted that if  there  any need to close
any PO, there should be  simultaneous  re-location . Otherwise ,  our Circle Union will have to
launch trade union actions against this attitude of  the Regional administration.

2. RT cases of Pondichery Division.
We have discussed at length about the violations made in respect of RT orders  at Pondy Division
and he  received all the matters  patiently. He also  responded positively on various cases. He
finally  assured  to settle  the cases amicably, on getting  the  report from the  SPOs., Pondy and
after getting  all the appeals  from the individual officials concerned.

3. In respect of  PSD issue, though he is giving hands to PSD from various Divisions,  the unit  is
under the  control of C.O. and  this case may be taken up with  CO and assured that he will
definitely  do in favour, when C.O.  directs.  Resultantly, this  case  was  taken up with C.O on
    the same day..

4. In respect of Rule 38 tfr. case, he assured to  settle  the case very shortly.

5. In respect of  recall of  PAs deputed from Chennai GPO, he  replied that  this would be attended to
    shortly, as already assured.
