SUBJECTS PLACED FOR DISCUSSION DURING THE BI MONTHLY MEETING WITH THE PMG, CR TO BE HELD ON 20.10.2015

To
The  Postmaster General,
Central Region,
Trichirappalli 620 001.

Respected Sir,

Sub:  Subjects for bi-monthly meeting  with the PMG, CR on 20.10.2015  - Reg.
                                                                                              ….
The under mentioned item of subjects are proposed to be taken up for discussions with the PMG, CR during the ensuing bi-monthly meeting. The same may kindly be entertained.

The old items pending unsettled may kindly be added  with the  new subjects.

New Items:-
1. Request to drop the proposal to shift the Divisional Office, Thanjavur Dn. to  the Canteen area at Thanjavur HPO premises.

Details of the case:-

The Department has spent Rs.3 lakhs in developing the Canteen by providing granite flooring and seating in the year 2008.  After one year the Canteen was closed and the area was utilised for dumping unwanted stock items. There are 15 OAs working in Thanjavur Division Office and all of them are ladies.  Apart from that SSP, two  Sub Divisional Heads/ staff, ASP (HQ), ASP (OD) and IPPG  are also accommodated in the present building. The proposed site is prone to dust due to heavy traffic flowing on both sides, which will affect the computers, xerox machine etc and other sensitive electronic items to be placed in the site.  The environment is not only bad for the electronic items but also endanger to the health of the staff of Division office.  The Divisional Office staff has to sit under the shed for 10 hours and that too during hot summer and also during winter, the humidity, which will be very horrible, even if air-conditioner is provided. Further, there is proposal to widen the highways and at that time, the construction if any now made, would come under the purview for demolition.

2. Almost in all the Divisions, all the offices migrated to CBS/CIS  are not supplied with Laser printer, UPS and Genset. This hamper the public / customer services badly. Request to look into this case immediately.

3.  Non passing of medical bills / RPLI incentive bills for long  in many Divisions. This item has been taken up in earlier  bi monthly meetings but  there is no solution till date. Even in recent months there is  a case of example for delay in pursuing  the Medical bills case of one  smt.S. Mayadevi,Thanjavur Bus stand PO with a huge amount,  though verification process is completed earlier.

The under mentioned office bearers will be attending the meeting.  Necessary arrangements may kindly be made for granting special CL and relief to them.
